Within seven years students, parents and the local community will recognise Arzana as a preferred provider of American Curriculum education and supporter of life-long learning in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
Mission
To achieve this vision, Arzana will:
- Recognise that all students are special in their own unique way and design an educational experience that embraces this vision.
- Through an holistic educational approach, place the student at the heart of the learning process, thereby enabling them to take control of both their personal and educational development.
- Help students to achieve their goals by providing hand-picked, highly qualified teachers who display an unrelenting passion and commitment for high quality education.
- Inspire a culture of life-long learning at all levels throughout the school by means of a transparent network of communication and co-operation.
- Maintain a high level of training and continuous learning for all staff members with a focus on special education requirements.
- Develop an innovative, progressive, American-based education system embracing Arabic and Islamic culture built on input from all stakeholders, including local and international best practice.
- Ensure every subject is built around the integration of ICT, thus securing a solid foundation for each student in today’s technology-driven world.
- Encourage parents to take an active role in their child’s educational experience through regular interaction and school involvement.
- Strengthen the UAE National Identity in Emirati students and, flowing from this, foster a similar National Identity amongst their expatriate peers through active engagement and partnerships with the local community.
Core Values
- Life-long learning – students will continually expand their mental capacity in the school and beyond its borders, with a view to adding value to their lives and to the wider local and international communities. In doing so, the school will develop a knowledgeable student base for effective feedback towards constant improvement.
- Mutual respect for all – in a multicultural environment such as Abu Dhabi, a profound respect for all peoples regardless of race, color or creed is necessary for a fun, healthy and productive lifestyle. Through its diverse staff and student population, the school will graduate model global citizens ready to integrate into tomorrow’s globalized world.
- Integrity & honesty – leading by example, the staff and teachers at Arzana will set the standard for a high moral code, eroding dishonest behaviours and attitudes amongst the school population through the practice of a helpful, transparent and inclusive learning environment.
- Sense of community– through an appreciation of other people and cultures, particularly an immersion and integration with UAE Islamic and Arabic values, Arzana will open students’ minds to a shared emotional connection with others and a sense of belonging, as a basis for self-definition.
- Communicate to collaborate – building on the sense of community, Arzana will regularly engage in open communication with all stakeholders towards building a stronger learning experience for all.
- Innovation in education – Arzana will constantly assess the needs of students, staff and the local community, and re-evaluate the learning program by providing an environment that facilitates the development of educational best practices.
